My roommate Emily shared this trailer with me today... "Julie & Julia!" I AM SO EXCITED!
... and here's why:
- It's just happy.
- "What is the thing you really like to do?" "EAT!" "And you're SO good at it!"
- Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci (reunited from "The Devil Wears Prada!") and Amy Adams (who continues to grow on me with every movie she makes, by the way).
- It's set in New York City.
- "Showtime bought my blog for a miniseries."
- Written and directed by Nora Ephron, the creator of my two favorite movies of all time, "When Harry Met Sally" and "You've Got Mail." (And a fellow purse-hater.)
- "You should have seen the way those men looked at me... but then they discovered I was fearless."
- It actually makes me want to cook...
- ... even though the sight of Amy Adams laying on the kitchen floor crying is how I feel every time I try.
- The movie is a true story that chronicles an adorable New York City girl who writes a blog that turns into a book that is made into a movie by Nora Ephron that changes her life. In other words, MY DREAM.

Ahhhh, just as good the second time around. I can't wait!
Yay! Another great reason: Julia Child is astounding!
Oh my gosh!!! That looks so cute. I want to go!
Right now I'm wishing I still lived in NYC so we could go see this together opening night.
I LOVED this book and I love to cook and I love Julia Child.
